Lunch at Villa Fano is usually taken outside under a canopy of roses. As children, the end of the meal signaled a return to adventure while the adults took their afternoon sosta. Our escape route from the world of adults and into the faerie world hidden inside the park shuttled us at breakneck speeds with a popsicle in hand along this hedge.
