| The park also contains an ancient tower finished in a strongly weathered dark gray stucco that was almost certainly an earthy orange tone like many other sections of the villa. At the top was an observation deck that looked out over the lands and topped the trees in the park. As a child going up to the very top was always a challenge as the steps are very narrow and we believe the railing is not to be trusted. Those few times we made it to the top, it felt glorious to know there was no higher point in the villa and to see over the entire park and vineyards. |
